Yet another great friendly and busy night last week, Thursday 4th December, it was nice to see everyone having a great time dancing away to the fantastic live music as well.
On the night we raised an amazing £187.65 on a very cold and wet night as everyone came early and stayed for the night and was kindly putting their entrance money in to the honesty bucket by the door, making extra donations and buying raffle tickets from Eileen and Margie.
Merseycats really appreciate people putting their entrance fee in the honesty bucket every week![]()
Entry is only £1 for members and £2 for visitors, it’s not much to pay but makes a lot of difference to the amount of children we can help during the year, thank you.
We raised this amount with some great sets from Just Chris, Tanglewood, Free Spirit and The Delrenas, and we finished off the night with another great Merseycats Jam Band with Eileen, Betty, Gerry and Nick on vocals, Richie, Paul, Tommy and Ste on guitar, Keith on keyboard, Andy on bass, Nick on harmonica and Ronnie on drums.
We also had a cheque presentation to Sefton Children’s Trust of £2000 which was received by Anona Kelly and she told us all about the great work they do for children.
Our thanks go out to all of the acts for a fantastic nights entertainment. ![]()

We look forward to another exceptional night this week, Thursday 11th December, with an another great line up of acts to entertain us all, please see the poster for the full list of acts in playing order.
We hope that everyone continues to come along nice and early to see all of the acts and to enjoy the full friendly evening with us and we really appreciate the great Live music provided by some great musicians, all giving their time and talents absolutely free of any charge, and for paying to get in as well, so that Merseycats can raise more money for sick and disadvantaged children on Merseyside.
Without the great bands and musicians coming to play at Merseycats every week we wouldn’t be able to raise as much as we do, so thank you one and all for coming along to support Merseycats and the bands.
Admission just, £1 for all Merseycats members and £2 for all visitors, including those musicians playing on the night please, we ask you to continue putting your entry money in to the honesty bucket at the door please, as we rely on this money to make up the night’s takings for our charity, don’t forget to pick up your blue door raffle ticket when you put your money in the bucket for the chance to win a Lotto lucky dip for Saturdays draw, thank you.![]()
On the night you get Free chip butties supplied by The Oldy Club, a Free musicians raffle, prizes supplied by Merseycats, as a thank you to them for playing and paying to get in, a door raffle for a lotto lucky dip for Saturday’s draw, GOOD LUCK.
Our general raffle tickets are on sale during the night, prizes donated by The Club, and sometimes others. A new prize has now been added to the general raffle, that is also donated by the Oldy Club, of four drinks at the bar on the night, which will be drawn out separately at about 9:30pm so the winner has time to enjoy their drinks so please get in early and buy your raffle tickets to be included in this extra prize draw, the usual draw for the rest of the prizes will still be at 10:45pm.
We also have the occasional auction for a litre bottle of spirits, or other prizes, supplied by supporters.
All money raised on the night goes directly to the children and small local Children’s Charities we support on Merseyside and all the bands and acts perform for you free of charge so that nothing is taken out.
Thank you one and all for your continued support of Merseycats, the Rock and Roll Children’s Charity, founded in 1989 by some of the original Merseybeat bands of the 60’s.![]()
